Printing Lengths

After a day session learning how to print lengths earlier in the sermester, I was eager to use this newly found knowledge, hense focusing my entire project around printing lengths.
With a positives of my Kingfisher design ready, all that remained was to make 8 screens for this 8 colour print.
Printing two 3 metre lengths of my design took a number of days, but was an incredibly satisfying process, cant wait to do it all again next year!

Bird studies

Jaquard

As I had created my designs in repeat, I decided to colour reduce my design in Digital Assistant and work on them within Jaquard Designer to create files ready to weave.
I chose to weave my Kingfisher and Bluebell designs, here are some snaps of them being woven:
